From cottage industry to Pakistan's pipe specifier.

In 1990, Haji Bashir Ahmad started Chattan UPVC & PPR-C Pipes and Fittings as a small cottage workshop in Gujranwala. 36 years on, the same family runs Afzal Industry (SMC-Pvt) Ltd — a fully professional manufacturing unit with advanced extrusion lines and an in-house polymer laboratory upgraded to international standards.

Chattan® was selected as Pakistan's sole representative at the PVC pipe industry exhibition in Sweden — a recognition extended only rarely to a regional manufacturer.

Today the Chattan catalogue spans 7 product systems and 35+ SKUs — UPVC pressure & drainage, PPR-C hot/cold, a three-pump series, water & pressure tanks, ceramic ware and the brand's signature multi-floor trap range.

The Chattan platform — Afzal Industry (SMC-Pvt) Ltd — operates extrusion lines and rotomoulding stations from a single facility on Ghulam Muhammad Town, Gujranwala. Every batch of UPVC, PPR-C and rotomoulded tank is sampled by the in-house polymer lab — upgraded to international testing standards in 2018.

That investment is why Chattan was selected as Pakistan's only PVC-pipe-industry representative at the Sweden exhibition — and why our quality is specified by contractors who don't want callbacks.
